About me

VÍT PAVLÍK

Artist Statement

My work is a dialogue between man and nature, between what is seen and what is experienced. I draw inspiration from the distinctive landscape of Šumava (Bohemian Forest), where I feel my roots and where my worldview is shaped. I have freed myself from the factual depiction of reality – my paintings are rather a record of inner processes, emotions, and energies that flow through the landscape and through ourselves.

In abstracted shapes and dynamic brushstrokes, I seek the relentless power of nature, its rhythm and variability. Color is my tool of communication; form is my means of expressing what words cannot encompass. I experiment with various materials, surfaces, and techniques – from classical painting through graphics to projection photography – because I believe that art must constantly seek new paths.

I perceive art not only as a personal statement but also as a bridge between cultures and generations. That is why I actively dedicate myself to organizing exhibitions, workshops, and international projects that connect artists across borders.
